NCMC Foundation Scholarship Opportunities

NCMC Foundation Scholarship Application must be completed and submitted ONLINE.

All applications received after 4:30 p.m. on March 31 and prior to 4:30 p.m. on August 21, 2023 will be considered for a second round of NCMC Foundation Scholarship selections. Round 2 scholarships are limited.

After the deadline date closes, completed applications, along with necessary academic and demographic information, will be forwarded to a scholarship selection committee for review. NCMC Foundation Scholarship Recipients are notified via their student email account with the exception of high school recipients who will be notified by high school counselors/officials. Please verify your current address is on file via myCOMPASS or by contacting the Registrar’s Office.

Unless otherwise noted, many scholarships are renewable for a second semester if the recipient maintains full-time status and achieves a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA.

All scholarship recipients are strongly encouraged to write a thank you letter to the scholarship donor/representative and attend the annual Scholarship Reception. Recipients will be notified of the Scholarship Reception date by invitation.

Established in memory of Thomas Anthony, M.D. for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in education.

Established in 2004 in memory of Robert Bailey.

Established in memory of Robert E. Barnes. Students with financial need preferred.

Student must be out of high school 5 years or more.

Established in memory of Peter Brewer. Student must be pursing a degree in Agriculture & Natural Resources.

Established in memory of Tom Brown and in honor of Sarah Alden-Brown. Full-time student pursuing Associate in Arts Teaching Degree and a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.

        • Currently residing in northern Missouri within the 16 county region

Established in honor of Mr. & Mrs. Derry to assist a NCMC Baseball or Softball Player currently residing in northern Missouri within the 16 county region.

Established in 1978 by the Dunn family.

Established by long-time and well-known educators Claude M. & Nadine Dunn Eckert. Students must be a Trenton High School or Chillicothe High School graduate who also attended Pleasant View R-6.

Established in memory of Gladys Schafer.

Established in memory of Lynn Freeman. Students must be a Trenton High School graduate.

Established in 2009 in memory of Everett and Hazel Frey. Student must be a Grundy County resident.

Established in 1993 after the death of Nadine Hall. Student must be out of high school 5 years or more and not previously attended college.

Established in 2020 in memory of Edward Hatcher. Full-time student must be a graduate from Milan C-2 or Grundy County R-5 and studying Agriculture & Natural Resources.

Established in 2004 in Memory of Phil Hauck & Carl and Louise Roda. Student must be studying Education or Agriculture & Natural Resources.

Established in memory of Alice Mae Hoffman.

Established in memory of Charles D. and Mary Bruce Hoffman.

Established in memory of H. Frank and Mary Louise Tye Hoffman.

Established in memory of Mary Jo Hoffman. Preference will be given to a student wanting to pursue a degree in journalism.

Established in memory of Charles and Virginia Holmes. Student must be a Trenton High School Senior planning to attend NCMC with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.

Established by the Hoffman Family in memory of Vern E. Hurt. Student must be a sophomore, and pursing a degree related to Agriculture & Natural Resources.
In addition to the NCMC Scholarship application, provide the following:

        • Career Planning application – developed by National PAS Organization
        • Current resume

Established in memory of Paul D. and Emogene L. Jackson. Full-time student pursing AAS degree with a Business emphasis and a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Established in memory of Lloyd and Margaret Ketcham. Student must be a full-time sophomore.

Established from the estate of Velda Kincaid. Student must be pursing a degree in Education. Preference given to classroom teachers.

Established in 2018 by Dr. Lenny and Pam Klaver. Student must demonstrate service to campus and community, have completed 24 credit hours at NCMC and have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.

The NCMC Foundation’s general scholarship fund.

Established in 2022 by Dean Kratochvil. Student attending the NCMC Savannah Campus enrolled in a career technical education (Trade) programs. Student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Established by JK Farms in 2020 in memory of John Kuttler. Student must be studying Agriculture & Natural Resources and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Established in memory of Ray Lymer. Student must be a full-time sophomore.

Established from the estate of Allene Maloney. First preference given to a Grundy Co. R-V graduate and second preference given to a female resident of Grundy Co. pursing a degree in Business or Accounting. Student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Established in 2002 by Allen Moore III and Anne B. Moore. Student must be currently residing in Livingston County.

Established by Brenda (Mundell) Harmon in memory of her late parents, Junius and Lou Mundell. Preference given freshman pursing a degree related to Agriculture & Natural Resources.

  • Primary preference given to graduate of Meadville R-IV or Linn County R-I high school

Established in memory of Harry Patton.

Established by Pete and Dolores Peery. Student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Established in 2005 in memory of Christopher P. Raynes. Preference given to a second year student with a business emphasis.

Established in 1998 in memory of Thomas and Edna Rehard.

Established in 2018 by Mark and Kathleen Robinson to benefit the Men’s Basketball program.

Established in memory of Jeanette Hoffman Robison. Student must demonstrate excellent academics and good moral character.

Established in memory of Judge V.C. (Casey) Rose and Dorothy Friedrich Rose. Student must demonstrate ethics and good citizenship.

Established in 1992 in memory of Trenton’s long time coach C.F. Russell. Student must be an athlete from Grundy County.

Established in the memory of Edward Scott.

Established in the memory of former faculty member Carolyn Smith. Student must be studying Business.

Established by Paul and Betty Preston Steele. Student must be a sophomore, and pursing a degree related to Agriculture & Natural Resources.

Established in memory of Mark and Rebekah Whitaker. Student must be a women’s basketball player, men’s basketball player, women’s softball player or men’s baseball player. Scholarship is a one-time award.

Established in memory of Charles H. Witten. Student must be a sophomore pursing an AAS degree with first preference given to a student with an Agriculture & Natural Resources focus of study or transferring to a four-year degree.

Established in 2020. Student must be studying Agriculture & Natural Resources.

Established from the estate of Jack N. Young and Mildred M. Young.

Awarded in honor ofJack N. Young, Mildred M. Young, Noble J. Young and Myra A. Young.

        • High School GPA of 4.0
        • 26 ACT or SAT equivalent
        • Demonstrate school/community leadership

Scholarship award is renewable for three additional semesters with continuous full-time enrollment and a minimum 3.5 GPA. This award can be applied for books, course fees, and on-campus housing. Maximum award is $7,000 per year.

The Admissions Office must have a completed Application for Admission and all high school, college, or GED transcripts for scholarship consideration. If you have any questions, please call (660) 359-3948, ext. 1410 for Admissions. Scholarship monies are limited in some cases and qualification is not a guarantee of scholarship award.
